Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Med/Surg Telemetry Float role. The ideal candidate must be flexible and comfortable floating across multiple units while delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care across multiple units as assigned
- Float between Med/Surg PCU ICU ED and Pediatric units
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Assess patient conditions and develop appropriate care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation using EMR systems
- May assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed
Required Experience & Skills:
- Prior travel nursing experience required (minimum one completed assignment)
- Strong experience in Med/Surg and Telemetry
- Coronary Care experience required
- Ability to work in high-acuity and fast-paced environments
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Experience floating across multiple units required
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license New York (required)
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience with MEDITECH charting preferred
