Associate Merchandiser, Women's Outerwear

We are seeking a Womens Merchant of Layers to manage the development & execution of the seasonal assortment. This individual will be responsible for executing the brand product strategy and helping to establish the Womens Layers assortment identifying new growth opportunities across all seasonal product classifications. To be effective in this role the individual must be an experienced Merchant whos passionate about the performance apparel space Vuoris mission and embody the brands values. 

What youll get to do:

• Support developing comprehensive assortment strategies across E-comm Store Wholesale and international channels to deliver high growth expectations. Learn the fundamentals of editing a line and develop a point of view. 
• Aid in building seasonal & annual line plan for Womens Outerwear. 
• Help support partnership with planning team on seasonal investment strategy and monthly buy process. Support the merchandising strategy by pulling applicable historical and current data.  
• Maintain an understanding of the competitive landscape and impart key insights into line development. 
• Help prepare reports on business results and present actionable insights to senior leadership. 
• Create and manage all seasonal assortment tools for Outerwear. 
• Conduct surveys and focus groups to gain a better understanding of the Vuori Outerwear customer. 
• Assist with key meeting preparation including but not limited to sample management deck preparation etc.  
• Create strong partnerships among cross-functional teams including Planning Allocation Design Product Development Marketing E-Commerce and Visual Merchandising. 
• Create seasonal Product Knowledge info for stores and ecommerce merchandising teams. 
• Act as cross departmental liaison creating a consistent flow of communication throughout the organization. 
• Support maintenance of Womens divisional tools. 

Qualifications :

Who you are:

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent years of experience preferred 
• 3 years of merchandising experience   
• Performance apparel or outerwear experience preferred 
• Strong eye for trend right product that aligns with the brand aesthetic 
• Must be organized attentive to detail and able to multi-task 
• Strong communication skills  
• Strong analytical skills  
• Understanding of retail math  
• Experience recapping business on a regular basis and presenting actionable insights to Sr. Leadership 
• Proficient in Microsoft (Excel) and Adobe Suite (Illustrator)  
• Ability to travel domestically when necessary  
• Candidates must live in the San Diego area

The salary range for this role is $74900 per year - $96285 per year.
