- Monday Thursday: 7:45 AM 3:45 PM (30-minute lunch)
- Friday: 7:45 AM 1:15 PM
- Total: 37.5 hours/week
Job Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to support speech and language therapy services within a Special Education setting. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to assist in delivering therapy services to students with communication and developmental needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing speech and language therapy programs under SLP supervision
- Conduct speech and language screenings (without interpretation)
- Implement IEP goals and therapy plans as directed
- Provide direct support to students to improve communication and language skills
- Document student progress and report findings to supervising SLP
- Assist with preparation of therapy and assessment materials
- Support organization of classroom and therapy resources
- Adapt learning materials based on student needs
- Maintain accurate records and data tracking
- Support classroom activities and educational organization
Qualifications
- Associates Degree required
- Active SLPA license in Arizona required
- Strong understanding of speech and language development
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under SLP supervision
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
Preferred
- 12 years of SLPA experience (entry-level considered)
- School or special education experience
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
