Role title
M&E Engineering Specialist
Your role
As an M&E Engineering Specialist in the Maintenance and Engineering department you are responsible for ensuring aircraft are maintained to the highest safety and regulatory standards while supporting daily engineering operations. The Maintenance & Engineering Department plays a key role in delivering Aer Lingus ambition by ensuring the continued airworthiness of the fleet maintaining the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance and enabling efficient data-driven maintenance operations.
Your responsibilities as an M&E Engineering Specialist will include:
- Management and assessment of all assigned Airworthiness Directives (AD) and other mandatory/non-mandatory Instructions for Continuing Airworthiness (ICA) e.g. Service Bulletins.
- Responsible for working in accordance with the Aer Lingus CAME and associated company procedures.
- Provide CAMO support for the Aer Lingus A320/A321/A330 series aircraft.
- Support Line and Base Maintenance to ensure aircraft serviceability and provide support to other departments in Aer Lingus as required.
- Process Technical Assistance Queries (TAQs) assigned to the Engineering Department.
- Liaise with Original Equipment Manufacturer National Airworthiness Authorities Part 21 organisations and other external agencies as required.
- Provide CAMO support for the delivery/Redelivery of Aer Lingus aircraft.
- Liaise with Compliance and Standards departments in relation to closing audit findings.
- Contribution to business cases and management of change risk assessments (HIRA).
- Contribution to business cases and management of change risk assessments (HIRA).
- Support Transformation initiatives.
Your qualifications and key criteria
We are looking for an individual with experience / qualifications in the following areas:
- Passionate about data and using data to drive better business outcomes utilising recognised measurement techniques.
- Good working knowledge of AMOS.
- Proficient in MS Office Applications.
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with others at various levels across the department as well as sharing ideas and information.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high levels of attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with ability to take initiative and assist colleagues unprompted.
- Can work in a fast-paced environment and keep pace with change acquiring knowledge/skills as the business develops.
- Hold an aircraft maintenance technical qualification in EASA Part 66 B1 or B2 disciplines Engineering Degree or National equivalent.
- Preferably two years working experience in an aircraft Engineering environment.
- Knowledge of Airbus Technical Documentation.
- Experience in writing technical work instructions and technical reports.
- Experience in interpreting Manufacturers Publications.
- Good understanding of aircraft regulatory requirements.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Eligible to live and work in the EU.
- Holder of a current unrestricted worldwide passport.
- Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure which includes a 5-year background check* or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport this position is based in Dublin.
