ABOUT THE ROLE

Project Manager HV Transmission (Networks Services NZ)

Join Downers Networks Services team and play a vital role in delivering critical high-voltage transmission projects across New Zealand. We have a permanent full-time opportunity available in our offices located in Manawatū-Whanganui Taupō or Taranaki. This position offers flexibility and exposure to a strong pipeline of work. We welcome applications from both experienced Project Managers and high-performing engineers who are ready to transition into a Project Management role.

You will be responsible for managing HV transmission line projects from planning through to completion ensuring delivery to specification on time and within budget. Working closely with internal teams contractors and clients you will coordinate resources manage risks and drive strong project outcomes across safety quality and performance.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

• Manage HV transmission projects to scope schedule budget and quality requirements.
• Coordinate internal teams contractors and resources to meet project objectives.
• Oversee procurement variations and contract compliance.
• Monitor project financials reporting and performance outcomes.

• Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

ABOUT YOU

You are a motivated project professional with a strong interest in transmission or infrastructure delivery. Whether you are an established Project Manager or looking to step up you bring strong organisational skills commercial awareness and the ability to communicate effectively with teams and stakeholders.

• Experience in project delivery within utilities infrastructure or construction.
• Strong planning coordination and organisational capability.
• Sound commercial awareness and understanding of project financials.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Safety-focused mindset with a commitment to Zero Harm principles.
