The Department ofMusic and Fine Artsat the University of the Cumberlands invites applications for a full-time 10-month Assistant or Associate Professor dedicated and engaging educator who is passionate about undergraduate teaching mentorship and scholarship. The successful candidate will contribute to a dynamic and collaborative department that prepares students for graduate study and meaningful careers inartand related fields. We seek an educator with experience in 3D modalities (sculpture etc.) and digital modalities (photography emerging technologies etc.) The Department ofMusic and Fine Artsvalues excellence in teaching diverse perspectives and service that makes a positive impact.

Job Responsibilities:

Teachcourses in the Art and Art Education curriculum

Collaborate with colleagues in theMusic and Fine Arts Departmentand throughout the university.

Adapt and align course materials using departmental syllabus templatesrequiredtext(s) and other resources.

Provide regular andtimelyfeedback on student work.

Maintain regular communication with students through virtual office hours and e-mail.

Maintain clear consistent records in Blackboard Ultra and the universitys online record keeping platform

Follow university policies and procedures.

Advise and mentor students in academic and professional development.

Contribute to curriculum designand departmental assessment.

ServeDepartment and University committees.

Maintain active engagement inscholarshipandservicewithin thefield.

Job Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Mastersdegree inStudio Art

Active creative/scholarly work

Student-focused teaching that addresses the needs of all learners

Ongoing professional development

Strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

M.F.A. in Studio Art

Experience with a variety of pedagogical and technological educational delivery methods.
