Our Austin Equipment Yard has an outstanding opportunity for general laborers at our equipment yard located in Southwest Dallas Texas near Duncanville. General Laborers in the equipment yard support daily operations by assisting with the organization maintenance and movement of construction equipment and materials. Duties may include cleaning and preparing equipment loading and unloading materials performing basic inspections assisting mechanics maintaining a safe and orderly yard and supporting logistics related to equipment delivery and return. This role requires physical labor adherence to safety procedures and the ability to follow instructions in a fastâpaced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the daily operation and organization of the equipment yard
- Load unload move and stage construction equipment tools and materials
- Clean fuel and prepare equipment for use delivery or return
- Perform basic visual inspections and report equipment issues or safety concerns
- Support mechanics and yard staff with basic tasks as needed
- Assist with inventory tracking yard setup and general labor tasks as assigned
- Maintain a clean organized and hazardâfree yard environment
- Follow all safety policies procedures and company guidelines
- Perform other related duties to support yard and operational needs
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in construction equipment yards warehouses or general labor is a plus
- Ability to perform physical labor including lifting carrying pushing and pulling materials and equipment
- Strong work ethic reliability and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and awareness of surroundings to support a safe work environment
- Ability to follow safety rules procedures and supervisor instructions
- Must have a strong commitment to jobsite safety
- Diligent in demonstrating safe work practices
Requirements:
- High school diploma GED or vocational training/certification
- Requires working indoors and outdoors at times in the rain or snow and during cold warm and hot temperatures
