Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Manager Strategy Analytics to join our GFSO Descriptive Analytics Tower- Global Finance Services Division
As part of Caterpillars Global Finance Divisions Advanced Analytics Team the Manager Strategy Analytics role will have the responsible for leading and delivering analytics reporting and automation solutions that drive business improvement. The role will identify and prioritize analytics opportunities oversees end-to-end solution delivery using Power Platform SQL and Python and ensures dashboards and insights meet business needs of Caterpillars global leadership and key addition to ensuring a successful reporting standardization and transition the role offers opportunity to identify and lead onboarding future position will work closely with business units across the enterprise and the Global Finance Strategy team to ensure alignment of processes for Caterpillar.
The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore Whitefield Office KA-India
What you will do
Strategy Opportunity & Delivery Ownership
- Identify size and prioritize business improvement opportunities using analytics automation and digital reporting.
- Assess scope complexity and resource needs for analytics and automation initiatives; work with Tower / Senior Leadership to plan delivery.
- Own end-to-end delivery of analytics reporting and automation solutionsfrom ideation to production support.
- Monitor and communicate key performance metrics operational risks and delivery challenges to stakeholders.
Solution Architecture & Development Oversight
- Define and govern standards for advanced web-based analytics solutions that go beyond traditional reports.
- Oversee development of scalable reporting and automation solutions using:
- Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI Power Apps Power Automate)
- SQL-based data models and curated data warehouses
- Python-based automation and web reporting where applicable
- Review solution designs to ensure performance scalability security and maintainability.
- Stay hands-on where required for complex solution design performance tuning or critical delivery needs.
Business Intelligence & Data Enablement
- Leverage enterprise data warehouses ERP systems and curated datasets to deliver high-quality BI outputs.
- Establish processes for transforming raw and aggregated data into actionable business insights.
- Ensure dashboards and analytical outputs align with business KPIs and decision-making needs.
Application Delivery & Governance
- Oversee all phases of application and solution delivery:
- Requirements intake
- Design and development
- Testing and deployment
- Post-production support
Define and enforce best practices for:
- Development standards
- Testing and release management
- Documentation and knowledge transfer
- Evaluate delivery methodologies and tools using industry benchmarks and past experience.
Stakeholder & Client Management
- Manage relationships with business stakeholders to ensure expectations for dashboards automation and insights are clearly set and met.
- Act as the primary bridge between business users and technical teams.
- Gather feedback and continuously improve solution usability and value.
People & Organizational Leadership
- Lead coach and develop a team of analysts and developers across experience levels.
- Translate strategic vision into clear achievable team objectives and delivery plans.
- Monitor team performance provide regular feedback and support skill development.
- Promote collaboration accountability and effective group decision-making.
Problem Solving & Escalation
- Guide teams in identifying root causes for complex analytics data or application issues.
- Oversee resolution of cross-tool or cross-platform problems.
- Ensure issues are escalated appropriately with clear context impact and recommendations.
Learning Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Stay current with trends in analytics automation AI-enabled reporting and low-code platforms.
- Drive innovation through automation reusable components and standardization.
- Encourage knowledge sharing internal training and adoption of best-in-class practices.
What you will have
- 1015 years of experience in analytics reporting and automation with strong hands-on expertise in:
- Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI Power Apps Power Automate)
- SQL and enterprise data models
- Python-based automation or web reporting solutions
- Demonstrated ability to deliver AI-enabled or advanced analytical solutions in business environments.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills with experience working in global or cross-functional teams.
- Shift Timing: 1:00 PM 10:00 PM
- This position requires candidate to work a 5-day -a -week schedule in the office
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in computer science Information Systems Data Analytics or a related field.
- Experience leading reporting analytics or automation programs in enterprise environments.
- Solid understanding of Python and applied data science concepts.
- Knowledge of finance and operations business processes is an advantage.

Evaluates alternative BI products in terms of their potential value to organization.
Develops targeted marketing campaigns based on BI analysis.
Develops processes for transforming aggregate data into useful business information.
Analyzes BI gained from multiple and diverse environments.
