Who are we looking for
As a GIS Analystyoull be working on exciting projects in Defence renewable energy environment transport and infrastructure. You will provide technical Spatial Science and Location Intelligence (LI) services and technical advise to support the LI team and broader GHD business so that it meets or exceeds its objectives in terms of financial performance strategic development risk management and having regard to GHDs core values. This is a Melbourne based permanent position.

Developanddeliver location intelligenceproducts and services including following compliance quality assurance standards.
- WithsupportfromtheLI Team Leadproactively engagewithour clientstoidentify insights and opportunities to contribute totheteams pipeline targets and ongoing future business development.
- Workingproactivelywiththe LI TeamandRegionalLeadto supportGHDsbusiness goals and KPIs.
- Actively contribute to growth and successful performance of LI capabilities which includeworkflow design andautomation solutionimplementationandadministrationofspatial databases and web mapping environments.
- Developing web and static mapping spatial analysis and field data collection applications
- Provide inputs for proposals and reports
What you will bring to the team
- Tertiary qualified in Spatial Science or equivalent with sound experience in Location Intelligence / GIS / Spatial industry with an understanding of digital transformation frameworks and landscape with a minimum of 3 years experience.
- Highly developed communication skills both oral and written open communication
- Experience in ESRI FME QGIS and other GIS tools
- With working knowledge in technical project management bids and proposal preparation
- Client engagement and relationship management
- Have or have ability to obtain Australian defence force baseline clearance
- Working knowledge in Python Power BI and/or Remote Sensing (Commercial/Industry Project Experience) would be an advantage
- Previous experience working in a consulting industry is highly regarded
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
- Design implementation and administration of spatial databases
- Automation and scripting experience desirable
- A passion to contribute and drive technical excellence in Location Intelligence towards solutions and delivery.
- An understanding of spatial solutions within the Transport Environment Water and Energy and Resources sectors would be highly desirable.
