Position: Technical Support Engineer
Location: Westford MA office or the Ann Arbor Michigan - Onsite
Need Market rate and skill Availability
Desired experience and skills:
Bachelors degree with 2 years of technical support experience and a strong foundation in ISP level networking and routing
Intermediate/expert level experience with Linux OS
Advanced networking knowledge including TCP/IP subnetting routing protocols (OSPF IS IS BGP) BGP peering policies VPNs/tunneling (MPLS L2TP) and hands on experience with Cisco and Juniper devices (preferred)
Solid understanding of TCP based protocols
Knowledge of or ability to learn Python to identify potential issues or bugs in source code for development support
Strong customer focus with attention to detail and the ability to build effective relationships with internal teams and customers
Excellent customer service with advanced written and verbal communication skills
Participation in the support off hours on call rotation
Proven ability to multitask across competing priorities
Strong interpersonal teamwork and process development skills
Solid analytical and critical thinking capabilities
Ability to work across multiple hardware and software platforms
Provide leadership and issue management during major customer outage calls
