AIMS Companies is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our growing finance team in Chandler AZ. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional with strong technical expertise in fixed assets sales & use tax and ASC 842 lease accounting along with proven leadership skills and a passion for process improvement and operational excellence.
Salary: $105000 annually (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily accounting operations including month-end close financial reporting and cash management
- Review and approve journal entries account reconciliations and supporting schedules
- Oversee the fixed asset subledger including additions disposals and depreciation accuracy
- Lead sales & use tax compliance efforts and review tax-related transactions
- Manage ASC 842 lease accounting including schedules monthly entries and new lease evaluations
- Review weekly payroll entries and ensure accurate posting
- Oversee corporate credit card program management and spend analytics
- Drive process improvements system enhancements and automation initiatives
- Ensure compliance with GAAP internal controls and company policies
- Coordinate and support annual audit and tax filing processes
- Supervise mentor and develop junior accounting staff providing guidance and performance feedback
- Assist in workload planning prioritization and team development initiatives
Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field
- 6 8 years of progressive accounting experience including supervisory or team lead experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
- Hands-on experience with fixed assets sales & use tax and ASC 842 lease accounting
- Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables VLOOKUPs data analysis)
- Proven ability to lead mentor and develop staff
- Strong analytical reconciliation and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Experience with Sage Intacct or construction/industrial services is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while effectively leading a team
- Strong collaboration leadership and problem-solving abilities
- Experience driving process improvements and implementing best practices
