AIMS Companies is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our growing finance team in Chandler AZ. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional with strong technical expertise in fixed assets sales & use tax and ASC 842 lease accounting along with proven leadership skills and a passion for process improvement and operational excellence.
Salary: $105000 annually (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily accounting operations including month-end close financial reporting and cash management
Review and approve journal entries account reconciliations and supporting schedules
Oversee the fixed asset subledger including additions disposals and depreciation accuracy
Lead sales & use tax compliance efforts and review tax-related transactions
Manage ASC 842 lease accounting including schedules monthly entries and new lease evaluations
Review weekly payroll entries and ensure accurate posting
Oversee corporate credit card program management and spend analytics
Drive process improvements system enhancements and automation initiatives
Ensure compliance with GAAP internal controls and company policies
Coordinate and support annual audit and tax filing processes
Supervise mentor and develop junior accounting staff providing guidance and performance feedback
Assist in workload planning prioritization and team development initiatives
Ideal Candidate:
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field
6 8 years of progressive accounting experience including supervisory or team lead experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
Hands-on experience with fixed assets sales & use tax and ASC 842 lease accounting
Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables VLOOKUPs data analysis)
Proven ability to lead mentor and develop staff
Strong analytical reconciliation and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
Experience with Sage Intacct or construction/industrial services is a plus

Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently while effectively leading a team
Strong collaboration leadership and problem-solving abilities
Experience driving process improvements and implementing best practices
