Location: Santa Fe Springs CA 90670 USA Compensation: $30 per hour
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Commercial Truck Alignment & Front-End Mechanic to perform diagnostics repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty commercial vehicles. This role focuses on wheel alignments steering and suspension systems to ensure optimal vehicle performance safety and tire longevity. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with heavy trucks and a strong understanding of front-end mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Perform precision wheel alignments on commercial trucks and trailers
Diagnose and repair front-end issues including steering and suspension systems
Inspect and service components such as tie rods kingpins bushings shocks and ball joints
Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure proper vehicle handling and tire wear
Use alignment machines and diagnostic equipment to identify and correct issues
Perform brake inspections and minor brake repairs as needed
Identify worn or damaged components and recommend necessary repairs
Ensure all work meets safety regulations and manufacturer specifications
Maintain accurate service records and work orders
Keep work area clean organized and compliant with safety standards
Primary Skills (Must-Have)
Commercial truck wheel alignment expertise
Strong knowledge of steering and suspension systems
Ability to diagnose front-end mechanical issues
Experience with alignment machines and measuring tools
Proficiency in heavy-duty truck repair and maintenance
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and specifications
Strong attention to detail and precision
Secondary Skills (Nice-to-Have)
Experience with diesel truck maintenance and repair
Brake system repair and inspection experience
Welding or fabrication skills (basic)
Familiarity with tire wear analysis and prevention
Experience in high-volume truck service environments
CDL (Commercial Drivers License) is a plus
Qualifications
3 5 years of experience working on commercial trucks or heavy-duty vehicles
Technical certification in automotive or diesel mechanics (preferred)
Valid drivers license (CDL preferred but not required)
Work Environment
Shop-based hands-on role in a heavy-duty truck service facility
Physically demanding (lifting bending standing for extended periods)
Exposure to tools machinery noise and varying shop conditions
