Job Title: LIMS Business Analyst (Starlims) - Hybrid

Job Description:
As a LIMS Business Analyst you will support the implementation and ongoing enhancement of laboratory information management systems and related web portals for environmental and clinical users. You will work closely with laboratory staff technical teams and stakeholders to conduct application discovery gather and document requirements support quality assurance efforts and ensure solutions align with laboratory workflows and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support discovery training and rollout activities for a replacement LIMS platform.
• Elicit analyze and document business and functional requirements through interviews and workshops.
• Analyze laboratory workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement or automation.
• Assist with system configuration validation test planning and quality assurance activities.
• Develop and execute test plans test cases user stories and support UAT.
• Create and maintain documentation including requirements specifications and solution designs.
• Engage stakeholders to gather input provide updates and manage expectations.
• Analyze data to support reporting insights and decision making.
• Collaborate with analysts supporting other LIMS and web applications.

Required Skills Experiences Education and Competencies:

• Experience working in a laboratory environment or supporting laboratory information systems.
• Familiarity with system development lifecycle methodologies including Agile and Waterfall.
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements and functional specifications.
• Hands on involvement in LIMS configuration validation testing and QA processes.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills related to laboratory workflows.
• Experience developing and executing test plans and test cases.
• Proficiency with tools such as Word Excel Visio and DevOps platforms.
• Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with STARLIMS preferably the LPH version.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $45.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills experience location and industry.
