Job Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the timely reporting of financial and operational metrics to senior leadership and operational managers. This position is responsible for budgeting consolidated financial analysis/reporting and ad-hoc reporting/projects for Strategic Business Units. Ad-hoc reporting and projects include data gathering manipulation summarization and analysis of financial and non-financial data identifying trends and opportunities.Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Timely preparation and presentation of Weekly Monthly and Quarterly reporting in addition to Adhoc project
- Develop and implement FP&A best practices to drive budgeting analysis andbusiness insights to support operations leadership
- Provide training and guidance to other members of the finance team as needed
- Facilitate the annual budgeting process by managing data collection analyzing andvalidatingthe information and communicating trends and drivers to operations leadership and executive leadership
- Understand and analyze the Strategic Business Unitsfinancial results (M/Q/Y vs. budget PY) and clearly articulate themes performance drivers root cause of variances and recommendations to enhance business performance when applicable
- Manage and coordinate monthly financial analysis presentations to operations leadership
- Collaborate across functional departments to drive continuous improvements in reporting budgeting and analysis processes
- Conduct ad-hoc special projects toassistmanagement in understanding business performance/processes
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience MBA or FP&A certification preferred
- 5 years in accounting or finance
- Ability to work effectively with management and part of a team to meet targets
- Strong attention to detail
- High-level math skills and the ability to translate mathematical information into concise reports
- Very Strong Excel skills able to use tools and shortcuts to work efficiently and effectively within Excel
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills able to analyze and solve problems
- Knowledge of Accounting and Financial principles
- Thinking about or on the 5th year/CPA track a plus but not
- Database experience is a plus but not required
- Ability to effectively communicate with other departments
