About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Telecommunications / Network Operations Manager to lead and oversee Network Services operations including voice data and security infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring high availability performance and security of enterprise network systems while managing teams vendors and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and oversight of Network Services operations including WAN LAN wireless SD-WAN and network security platforms
- Oversee daily operational activities including incident management problem resolution and service availability.
- Serve as escalation point for high-priority network and infrastructure issues
- Coordinate and prioritize workload across Network Services teams including infrastructure and security-focused functions
- Support ongoing and planned initiatives including:
- SD-WAN implementation and optimization
- Network monitoring and observability tools (e.g. ThousandEyes AppDynamics)
- Security integrations (e.g. Secure Workload NGFW identity services)
- Provide vendor coordination and oversight for network-related services and contracts
- Ensure compliance with Agency security standards policies and regulatory requirements
- Participate in change management processes and ensure proper documentation and approvals
- Collaborate with Infrastructure Engineering Data Center Telecom and Security teams to support cross-functional initiatives.
- Provide status reporting risk identification and mitigation planning to leadership.
- Maintain documentation of network architecture processes and operational procedures.
- Support knowledge transfer and continuity planning for the return of the permanent Network Services Manager.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 7 years of supervisory/management experience in network operations
- Proven experience leading teams providing direction and driving results
- Strong understanding of enterprise network operations (WAN/LAN/Wireless)
- Experience managing incident problem and change management processes
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Skills:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience with administration maintenance and design of Cisco VoIP solutions is required.
- Minimum of 5 years experience managing a networking team in a highly complex environment.
- 5 Years of Experienced with implementation and support of 24x7x365 network voice and video environment.
