Role 1: Quantity Surveyor Water Infrastructure & Utilities

The Company: Our client is a leading Civil Engineering contractor with an enviable reputation for delivering complex infrastructure projects across the North West. Due to a major long-term framework win with a regional water utility provider they are looking to bolster their commercial team with a specialist Quantity Surveyor.
The Role: Operating within the Water & Utilities division you will be responsible for the commercial health of a suite of projects ranging from minor repair works to major pumping station upgrades. Our client is looking for a "hands-on" QS who is comfortable balancing office-based commercial management with regular site visits across Lancashire.
Key Responsibilities:
Acting as the commercial lead on projects under NEC4 Option C (Target Cost) contracts.
Managing the subcontract procurement process ensuring "Our Clients" commercial interests are protected.
Accurate measurement and valuation of works on-site to ensure timely applications for payment.
Identifying and negotiating compensation events specifically focusing on unforeseen ground conditions typical of water infrastructure work.
Providing detailed CVRs and cost forecasting to the Senior Management team.
Candidate Requirements:
Proven experience in a QS role within Civil Engineering or Utilities.
A solid understanding of NEC contract suites.
Based in or willing to commute throughout Lancashire.
