The Role:
We are seeking highly motivated Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses to participate in our Transition to Specialty Practice (TSP) program at St. Vincents Private Hospital Sydney starting July2026.
The 12-month program is open to both recently graduated nurses as well as experienced nurses seeking to change specialties or move from a non-acute setting to the acute hospitalenvironment. The TSP program aims to develop clinical skills support professional growth and encourage reflective practice in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board Standards for Practice. The program offers two streams: medical/surgical wards and the perioperative suite. Flexible work options are available including full-time (5 days/week 40 hours) and part-time (4 days/week 32 hours). ENs commencing a Bachelor of Nursing in 2027 may also reduce their hours during semester periods to support study and clinical placement commitments.

ABOUT YOU:
The TSP program is designed to support your transition and develop your nursing capability enabling you to practise competently in an acute care setting.
Your skills will include:
- Registered Nurse / Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA registration.
- Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills critical thinking and analysis in your daily practice as a Registered Nurse / Enrolled NurseorStudent nurse.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work within the interdisciplinary team.
- Time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing workloads with in a complex environment.
- Strong commitment to providing excellent clinical care and continued professional development.
ABOUT ST VINCENTS PRIVATE HOSPITAL SYDNEY
St Vincents Private Hospital Sydney is located in the heart of the well-known St Vincents Health Campus in Darlinghurst and co-located with St Vincents Hospital Sydney and research centres including the Garvan Institute of Medical Research The Kinghorn Cancer Centre and the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute. Our co-location creates cross-campus opportunities for all aspects of our health care business and the staff who work in it. We have recently completed a major redevelopment and refurbishment which has transformed our facilities to include additional patient accommodation consulting suites operating theatres both inpatient and day rehabilitation services with start-of-the-art hydrotherapy pool and a new ambulatory care centre.
