We are seeking a skilled Surgical Nurse with anaesthesia skills to complete our specialist surgery team - and most importantly make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals and their families.
This is a Part-time role. We provide the highest standard of nursing and patient care and we are seeking a qualified veterinary nurse to join our friendly dynamic surgical team.
As a Surgery Vet Nurse your responsibilities will include:
Assist in pre-operative and post-operative care
Surgery Preparation & Theatre Nursing
Provide expert nursing care during complex surgical procedures including anaesthesia and monitoring.
Carry out diagnostic tests
Collaborate with the surgical team and all departments to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow
Administer medications and follow established protocols
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Provide education and support to patients and their families
Willingness to when needed help the other department nurses which is integral to maintain a team atmosphere
About You:
Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification
Minimum of 3 years of experience in veterinary nursing
Strong knowledge of surgical nursing techniques and procedures
Proficient anaesthesia skills with the ability to monitor patients safely and effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and client service
