We are seeking a skilled Surgical Nurse with anaesthesia skills to complete our specialist surgery team - and most importantly make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals and their families.
This is a Part-time role. We provide the highest standard of nursing and patient care and we are seeking a qualified veterinary nurse to join our friendly dynamic surgical team.
As a Surgery Vet Nurse your responsibilities will include:
- Assist in pre-operative and post-operative care
- Surgery Preparation & Theatre Nursing
- Provide expert nursing care during complex surgical procedures including anaesthesia and monitoring.
- Carry out diagnostic tests
- Collaborate with the surgical team and all departments to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow
- Administer medications and follow established protocols
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Willingness to when needed help the other department nurses which is integral to maintain a team atmosphere
About You:
- Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in veterinary nursing
- Strong knowledge of surgical nursing techniques and procedures
- Proficient anaesthesia skills with the ability to monitor patients safely and effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and client service
