ESG Coordinator (Fixed Term Contract)
Job Summary
The ESG Coordinator based in Sea to Summits Perth office plays a key role in driving and embedding Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives across our global operations and supply chain. This role partners with suppliers internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with our values ethical standards and compliance requirements.
Through strong coordination of data reporting and supplier engagement the ESG Coordinator enables informed decision-making and continuous improvement helping to elevate our sustainability practices and support the responsible growth of Sea to Summits global business.
*This is a 6-month fixed-term contract.
Key Responsibilities
Global ESG Program Coordination
- Coordinate Sea to Summits ESG program activities across all regions and supply chain tiers ensuring alignment with company policy global legislation and international ESG frameworks.
- Administer the global supplier ESG survey process ensure full participation for relevant supplier tiers and follow up on incomplete or overdue submissions.
- Support global supplier onboarding with ESG documentation including review of Supplier Code of Conduct acknowledgements and Mutual Recognition Program (MRP) certification.
- Maintain supply chain transparency with material-specific certifications such as RCS (Recycled Claim Standard) and RDS (Responsible Down Standard) ensuring supplier compliance and documentation.
- Collaborate with key business units such as Procurement Legal and Quality to embed ESG expectations into business decision-making.
Climate & Environmental Impact (GHG / SBTi)
- Coordinate internal efforts to support Sea to Summits GHG emissions tracking across Scope 1 2 and relevant Scope 3 categories working alongside external consultants or internal stakeholders.
- Assist in maintaining and improving Sea to Summits GHG inventory and carbon data from supplier operations transport/logistics and product life cycles.
- Support the development and communication of Science-Based Targets (SBTs) including monitoring progress against interim milestones and reporting requirements.
- Identify emissions hotspots and coordinate improvement plans with relevant departments and supplier partners.
- Assist in engaging suppliers to support upstream emissions reductions and responsible sourcing aligned with SBTi and circularity goals.
Reporting & Compliance
- Contribute to the preparation of Sea to Summits annual ESG and Modern Slavery reporting to relevant national and international registers.
- Track and analyse ESG data (e.g. carbon emissions waste management performance ethical sourcing metrics) for internal and external reporting.
- Liaise with Legal Procurement Product Development and Operations to gather information required for ESG disclosures.
- Support the preparation of ESG dashboards progress updates and internal presentations.
Supplier Engagement & Training
- Engage suppliers across Asia-Pacific and other regions to improve awareness and implementation of ESG and climate-related standards.
- Coordinate with third parties to manage social and environmental compliance audits pre-audit prep and post-audit CAPs.
- Promote supplier understanding and adoption of standards such as RDS RCS GRS FSC and similar material or ethical certifications.
- Support the rollout of ESG and climate education campaigns for suppliers including training sessions SharePoint resources and newsletters.
Cross-Functional Integration & Internal Support
- Partner with Product Sourcing and Logistics to integrate ESG and climate considerations into new product development and material selection.
- Contribute to cross-departmental projects including product traceability circular design packaging reduction or ethical procurement initiatives.
Qualifications :
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Environmental Science Sustainability Supply Chain or related field.
- 2 years of experience in ESG sustainability or ethical sourcing roles in a global organisation or consumer goods context.
- Familiarity with ESG and sustainability frameworks such as B Corp GRI SBTi SDGs and Modern Slavery regulations.
- Experience in GHG emissions reporting carbon accounting tools or sustainability data platforms is highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of RCS RDS and other material certification standards preferred.
- Experience working with supply chain partners in Asia-Pacific.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel Teams SharePoint PowerPoint).
- Strong interpersonal skills written communication and an ability to work across time zones and cultural contexts.
