WHAT IS ECONOMIC CONSULTING

Economic consulting involves using economic theories quantitative methods and data analysis to address legal and business challenges. RESEARCH ANALYST INTERN ECONOMICS AND FINANCE

We are seeking an intellectually curious team player with strong quantitative and analytical skills to join our London office as a Research Analyst Intern for a fixed-term contract (FTC) of 9 or 12 months from September 2026. This internship will support both our International Arbitration and Competition practices where you will collaborate closely with senior consulting staff and leading industry experts on high-profile cases.

About the Role

As a Research Analyst Intern you will play an integral role in project teams contributing to complex economic and financial analyses related to international disputes and competition matters. You will gain hands-on experience in economic consulting and develop practical skills in data analysis modelling and research.

Typical Responsibilities

• Assisting in the preparation of reports presentations and other client deliverables.
• Conducting quantitative and qualitative research to support expert analysis in arbitration and competition cases.
• Applying economic and financial modelling techniques to address real-world challenges.
• Using software (such as Stata R Python or Excel) to analyse datasets and extract meaningful insights.
• Reviewing and summarising academic literature and industry trends to contextualise findings.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Will have completed a Bachelors degree by September 2026in Economics Finance or a quantitative discipline with strong academic performance.
• Interested in pursuing a Masters after completing the internship.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data.
• Basic experience with data analysis tools such as Excel Stata R or Python is highly desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (fluency in another European language is a plus).
• A proactive detail-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
