RBS Director, Contract
Job Summary
Responsibilities include documenting developing and negotiating contractual agreements primarily with clients and performing in-depth financial analysis of the contract rates and how changes effect the overall revenue and profitability of the organization. This position will also identify a clear core competency expected from the position in placing a major emphasis on data analysis and the anticipated / forecast changes to be expected by the company resulting from contract negotiations. The position requires a significant understanding of financial / managerial accounting as well as expert level ability to manipulate large data addition to being comfortable with large sets of data the position should also be comfortable with database applications and their use.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Manage and administer company contracts including overseeing proposal preparation and contract negotiation.
- Perform data analysis to determine effect / changes associated with revenue and profitability as a result of changes to the contract via the contract negotiations.
- Effectively communicate data analysis findings to internal staff such as management sales and operations.
- Coordinate legal changes to contracts and act as a liaison to both the client and legal department to facilitate the work flow.
- Function as a technical financial analysis resource to the organization by being able to develop clear and concise results and reports of financial information.
- Provide creative leadership from knowledge of industry best practices and most current developments in contract administration.
- Utilize tools of the department to achieve expected results including contract database.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of contract database utilized by sales contracts and management.
- Function as a key manager for the organization and be able to communicate at all levels effectively within the organization.
Qualifications :
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
- Functional knowledge of contract documents a plus
- Basic understanding of business law and terminology a plus
- Exceptional financial analysis skills
- Good understanding of business processes such as invoicing negotiation and other processes
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Excellent financial / analytical skills
- Must be able to perform / understand complex tasks and scenarios in a wide array of information such as financial operational managerial
- Must be able to function in a managerial capacity by directing the work of other colleagues and being able to delegate certain assignments where practical
- Must be able to work independently with very little supervision
- Very attune to small details and detailed oriented
- Must be able to make decisions / recommendations with confidence
- Must be able to travel domestically when required.
