Join Our Team: Enterprise (Fundraising) Manager Yorkshire & North East opportunityNavigate your future and lock in your career as we keep our canals open and key aim of the Enterprise Manager role is to identify sources of funding and support for the development and delivery of the regions priority projects and Yorkshire & North East region covers 317 miles of waterways stretching from the Tees Barrage in the north to the Chesterfield Canal in the south. Canals such as the Leeds & Liverpool Huddersfield Narrow & Broad Sheffield & Tinsley and Rochdale link to river navigations such as the Aire & Calder Calder & Hebble and the South Yorkshire Hours & TravelThis role follows a37 hours Monday to rolewill be offered on a remote working basis with a requirement to attend our main hub spaces as and whenrequired. Regular travel across our network will berequired. See here: Hubs: LeedsA valid UK drivinglicenseand access to a vehicle are OverviewThe postholder will work creatively with colleagues and external partners to help shape the regions activities into fundable projects and secure funding for projects that enhance the waterways and peoples enjoyment of will encompass a variety of initiatives including enhancements to waterway infrastructure such as heritage features like our iconic locks and bridges environmental initiatives like supporting nature recovery and active travel projects improving towpaths. Additionally they will focus on improving visitor destinations like Tees Barrage and Standedge Tunnel and providing learning participation and engagement opportunities that promote health and well-being for our waterway accountabilitiesTo support activity and work in the region by securing funding for a range of strategic represent and promote the work of the Trust to key external stakeholders including other environmental organisations local authorities and key statutory funders lottery distributors trusts and foundations corporate foundations alongside other regional and sub-regional develop and manage relationships with statutory charitable and corporate funders and develop a strategic funding strategy to secure resources for regional or contribute to partnerships that generate resources that further the regions delivery of waterway enhancements and benefits for waterway the financial aspects of projects and the funding risks of externally funded be responsible for output outcome and impact monitoring and keep abreast of the funding environment to enable rapid reaction to emerging display the Trusts values and that diversity and inclusion are integrated into all aspects of Trust life and promote inclusion by challenging behaviour practices actions or decisions that are counter to the objectives of the Trusts policies and youBased in the Yorkshire & North East team this role suits someone passionate about developing projects and securing funding to bring them to life. The role works closely with crossdisciplinary teams to shape strong fundable ideas and take them through to and experience in securing funding from sources such aslocal authorities lottery distributors charitable trusts and corporate foundations is essential with regional knowledge and networks highly & QualificationsTechnical:A proven track record of developing and writing successful funding of funding environments including lottery distributors key statutory funders trusts and foundations charitable of working in and creativity to develop projects from concept to delivery and to match trust priorities with and project management experience with the ability to manage financial of financial :Ability to influence persuade and written and verbal communication skills a confident to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.A collaborative team driving licence as your work will require you to reach locations not easily reached by public transport. Access to a vehicle is essential.
