Position: Laboratory Operations Specialist
Type: Contract
Compensation: $105/hour
Location: Remote
Role Responsibilities
- Implement practical solutions for equipment procurement and facility setup.
- Understand and apply containment protocols in daily lab operations.
- Ensure smooth operation of labs through effective procurement channels.
- Collaborate with teams to maintain high standards of lab safety and efficiency.
- Work independently and asynchronously to meet operational goals.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Experience working in BSL-2 or higher facility.
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment procurement channels and containment protocols.
- U.S. person currently located in a Five Eyes country.
Preferred
- Biosafety officer certification or training (e.g. ABSA credentials).
- Hands-on procurement and supply chain experience for lab consumables and equipment.
- Understanding of biosafety failure modes and incident response.
- Experience with institutional biosafety committees (IBC) or regulatory compliance.
