Our client is hiring an Estimator who can do more than put numbers to plans were looking for someone who can help us win work and build strong relationships in the process.
This role is focused on estimating bid strategy and relationship-building with light involvement in preconstruction to ensure a clean transition to the field.

What Youll Own
1. Estimating & Bid Strategy
- Perform quantity takeoffs (earthwork utilities site development)
- Build accurate and competitive estimates using HCSS HeavyBid (or similar)
- Analyze plans/specs to identify risk gaps and cost drivers
- Develop a clear bid strategy not just pricing but positioning to win
2. Business Development (Relationship-Based)
- Build and maintain relationships with GCs owners and key clients
- Follow up on bids and stay engaged throughout the award process
- Help identify and pursue target customers and projects
- Represent Brex as a reliable solutions-oriented partner
3. Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination
- Solicit and level quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
- Build relationships to improve pricing and responsiveness
- Ensure complete scope coverage before bid submission
4. Project Handoff Support (Light Precon)
- Prepare a baseline schedule and job assumptions for awarded work
- Support field teams with change order pricing and scope clarification
- Assist in setting projects up for success without owning full project management

- Strong relationships that lead to repeat work
- Clean handoffs to field teams with minimal gaps or surprises

Qualifications
- Experience in civil construction estimating (earthwork utilities site development preferred)
- Ability to perform accurate quantity takeoffs
- Experience with estimating software (HCSS HeavyBid preferred)
- Strong understanding of construction drawings specs and scopes
- Familiarity with local market pricing and subcontractors is a plus
