Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing team on a full-time permanent basis. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting activities of the company ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis. This role will work closely with the finance team and report directly to the Controller.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review monthly financial statements including balance sheet income statement and cash flow statement

- Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate and resolve any discrepancies

- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

- Prepare and file various tax returns including sales tax and business tax

- Monitor and analyze budget variances and provide recommendations for improvement

- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasting

- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

- Process payroll and maintain accurate employee records

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper recording and reporting of financial transactions

- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures

- Stay up-to-date on accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance

- Other ad hoc financial and accounting duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field

- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role preferably in a fast-paced environment

- Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
