The Sales Associate is to sell our product with pride and communicate information accurately and with enthusiasm. Courtesy and hospitality should be extended in full measure to every guest to enrich the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum (BTPSM) experience while keeping to companys mission to be The Nations Storyteller . Requirements:

Essential Functions

• Greet customers with a smile and make them feel welcome; offer to assist them.
• Be knowledgeable of our products and pricing.
• Use sales techniques to drive sales to meet daily goals.
• Verify and balance cash drawer.
• Accurately produce reports and other departmental documents as assigned.
• Receive and price and stock merchandise using store procedures and standards.
• Keep the store (floors fixtures) and the merchandise clean and organized.

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Have demonstrable sales skills
• Have excellent math and sales skills
• Ability to work with money credit cards and cash receipts.
• Retail experience is a plus.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including days evening weekends and holidays

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• 1-2 years retail experience preferred
• Have a passion for helping people and making their Boston experience a memorable one.

Other Requirements

• Must pass pre-employment background check and substance abuse testing.
