POSITION OBJECTIVE: Provide support for district/state assessments and student information management.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary.) |
- Assist Test Coordinator in District and State Assessments
- Assist in compilation of data for district reporting
- Responding to student records requests and purging student records
- Assist in gathering data for college state and district testing
- Assist in answering phones troubleshooting issues etc
- Synergy technical support and training of staff
- AzEDS data validation
- Provides customer service by responding to more complex requests for information from parents students staff and/or the general public; communicates District policies and procedures; researches and resolves routine and more difficult and complex issues.
- Prepares a variety of documents agendas meeting minutes reports and/or correspondence which involves: gathering information; writing; editing; preparing documents for publication and/or dissemination; monitoring the distribution of documents and correspondence; and/or performing other related activities.
- Serves as an administrative liaison for assigned Administrator or department.
- Performs and oversees a variety of more difficult clerical duties including: developing filing systems and maintaining complex and confidential files faxing making copies and responding to records requests answering and transferring phone calls and handling difficult customers and issues and/or performing other related activities
- Organizes and maintains supervisor and/or department calendar which includes scheduling meetings.
- Coordinates a variety of activities which may include: school visits meetings and/or other related activities.
- Participates in a variety of committees; acts as recording secretary
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

KNOWLEDGE: (position requirements at entry): Knowledge of: Office management practices and standard operating procedures; Customer service principles; Recordkeeping practices and procedures; Filing techniques and practices; Applicable Federal State and local laws rules regulations codes and guidelines; Modern office equipment; District policies and procedures; General practices and procedures in area of assignment; Grammar punctuation and spelling; Basic mathematical principles and concepts.

SKILLS: (position requirements at entry): Skill in: Prioritizing and assigning work; Operating a computer and related software applications; Operating modern office equipment; Maintaining records; Composing editing proofreading and formatting letters correspondence reports and other written materials; Tracking and monitoring budgetary expenditures; Processing information and paperwork; Reading and interpreting policies and procedures; Performing mathematical calculations; Gathering and organizing information; Keyboarding; Communication interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers supervisor the general public etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Positions in this class typically require: reaching standing walking pushing pulling lifting finger dexterity grasping talking hearing seeing and repetitive motions. Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. The use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work.
