Job Summary
The PCU RN delivers specialized care to patients with complex medical conditions or those recovering from acute surgical procedures. Responsibilities include continuous telemetry monitoring performing advanced assessments titrating drug doses and implementing care plans in a fast-paced high-turnover environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Patient Monitoring:Interpret cardiac rhythms and monitor vital signs to recognize and respond to patient deterioration.
- Clinical Care:Administer medications IV fluids and treatments including post-surgical wound care and device management (catheters/drains).
- Collaboration:Work with physicians respiratory therapists and the team to develop and implement care plans.
- Documentation:Maintain accurate timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Required Qualifications
- Licensure:Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or compact state.
- Experience:Minimum 1-2 years of acute care experience (e.g. PCU ICU Step-down).
- Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association.
- Skills:Proficiency in ECG interpretation strong clinical assessment skills and ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment.AMN Healthcare4
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN).
