Job Summary

Shape how AFCA engages with its most important stakeholders. 

As the Senior Stakeholder Engagement Advisor youll play a key role in delivering high-quality purposeful engagement that supports AFCAs public role and strengthens trust and confidence in the organisation. 

Working within the Stakeholder Engagement function and reporting into the Stakeholder Engagement Manager this role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative team that takes a structured insight led approach to engagement and stakeholder management. Youll support the planning and coordination of stakeholder activity and help turn conversations feedback and intelligence into clear actionable insights. Your work will directly inform decision-making improve consistency across engagement and contribute to protecting and enhancing AFCAs reputation. 

What Youll Do 

  • Support the implementation of AFCAs stakeholder engagement approach through effective planning coordination and sequencing of engagement activity 
  • Assist with the coordination of executive-level and high-risk stakeholder engagements 
  • Maintain visibility of who AFCA is engaging with for what purpose and with what intended outcomes 
  • Capture maintain and quality assure records of stakeholder engagement activity 
  • Identify key themes issues and emerging signals from stakeholder interactions 
  • Analyse and synthesise stakeholder intelligence to inform organisational insight and decision-making 
  • Monitor stakeholder feedback discourse and sector developments escalating emerging issues appropriately 
  • Contribute to stakeholder intelligence summaries reports and dashboards 
  • Prepare clear evidence-based briefings for executives and senior leaders 
  • Work closely with Strategic Communications Government Relations and Community Engagement teams to align engagement activity messaging and stakeholder experience 
  • Liaise with Operational Delivery and DCO teams to ensure insights from complaints and operations inform engagement priorities 

Qualifications :

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Experience in stakeholder engagement corporate affairs mediacommunicationsor public policy. 
  • Exceptional writing and content development skills across a range of formats. 
  • Ability to synthesise qualitative information into clear themes and insights. 
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or experience in communicationspublic relations or a related relevant field.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage competing priorities. 
  • Exposure to financial services highly regulated sectors. or member-based organisations is desirable.
