Job Duties

• Design and implement enterprise-level database solutions ensuring scalability and high availability.
• Manage installation configuration upgrades and capacity planning for large-scale database systems.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery backup strategies and implement advanced security and compliance controls.
• Collaborate with developers and architects on database design and integration while mentoring junior DBAs.
• Maintain documentation prepare performance reports and optimize queries indexes and execution plans.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• 5 years related work experience
• Proficiency in relational and cloud database platforms including Microsoft SQL Server Oracle PostgreSQL MySQL Azure SQL Database AWS RDS and Google Cloud SQL.
• Strong expertise in performance tuning and optimization including advanced query strategies indexing and partitioning as well as high availability and disaster recovery techniques such as clustering and AlwaysOn Availability Groups.
• In-depth knowledge of security and compliance practices including encryption auditing role-based access control and familiarity with frameworks such as GDPR HIPAA and SOX.
• Experience with scripting and automation using T-SQL PL/SQL PowerShell and Bash along with monitoring tools such as SQL Profiler Oracle Enterprise Manager and SolarWinds DPA.
• Understanding of storage and networking fundamentals for database connectivity and optimization.
