To help us reach our mission were looking for a Classification Inspector to join our inspections team in the Western this role youll conduct both field and virtual inspection services to ensure the workers compensation classification system has been applied correctly at the discrete employer level resulting in the most appropriate premium for a policy and consistency in application for the system. Youll have a key role in providing comprehensive technical expertise in the classification position will be covering the North Eastern U.S. territory primarily Connecticut and Rhode Island. The selected candidate must be located either in the North Eastern territory or within Florida. Use of a personal car will be required. Please note if located in Florida travel up to 75% of the time will be required including overnight candidate for this position must pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check satisfactory to : NCCI will not sponsor applicants for work YOULL DO:As an Inspector youll review select prioritize inspection assignments and schedule inspection addition youll:Perform physical and virtual inspections of various business operations including traveling to the employer as necessary and complete the classification inspection reportConduct background research on the employer and operationsReview policy details current classifications Basic and Scopes Manuals and other necessary preparations to conduct inspectionsMaintain all information and data in the inspection systemAnalyze and identify classification code issuesReview respond to and resolve inspection correspondence and classification inspection disputesServe as the regional expert or resource in classification issues and general industry trendsAssist NCCI staff regulators and other customers with classification issues providing assistance and fact witness testimony in classification code appealsReview and research manuals and databases on classification systemWHAT IT TAKES:Bachelors degree or a minimum of 6 years of related work experience3 years of related workers compensation insurance experienceExperience conducting field premium audits classification inspections audit reviews underwriting or other relevant field tasksKnowledge of workers compensation infrastructure Basic Manual Scopes Manual and Classification systemStrong analytical and interpretive skillsTime management and project management skills with the ability to multitaskAbility to provide fact-witness testimony at administrative non-judicial or judicial hearingsProficiency with Microsoft Office products tools spreadsheets and content management systemsPREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:Professional insurance designation is preferred in Associate in Underwriting (AU); Associate in Premium Audit (APA); WCP or IN IT FOR YOU:Work for the leader in workers compensation information providing data insights and tools for almost 1000 insurance companies with over 100 years of experienceCompetitive starting base salary plus a targeted annual performance bonusWonderful team of dynamic people to work with who are fun caring and friendlyPositive work environment and culture which celebrates success and honors each others contributions to the teamFantastic benefits packageWHO TO CONTACT:Zach WierzbaSr Talent Acquisition
