The Assistant Project Manager reports directly to the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager in a clientfacing role that requires building strong relationships both in and outside the office. Core responsibilities include developing skills through handson experience peer collaboration and ongoing technical training.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in estimating project scope and costs
  • Manage projects with subcontractors
  • Communicate with clients and subcontractors
  • Attend and actively participate in project coordination and owner/contractor/architect/engineer meetings as requested or required.
  • Research and preparation of change requests to resolve design issues for approval
  • Research and recommend solutions to design document problems including conflicts interferences and errors/omissions
  • Monitor field work and/or contract work to ensure compliance with company standards procedures specifications and codes.
  • Assist with the submittal process.
  • Assist in the tracking and completion of billing.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:
  • A College degree journeymans license or master electricians license
  • Understanding of electrical installations
  • Strong computer skills - Specifically in Microsoft 365
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.
  • Employment-based visa sponsorship (including H-1B sponsorship) is not available for this position.

PREFERRED:
  • Experience in dealing with industrial construction/contracting
  • Electrical contracting assistant project management experience
  • Electrical contracting assistant project management experience
  • Familiar with computer-based estimating
  • Experience with COINS (ERP Software)
  • Knowledge of billing and collections
