SAP Solution Engineer Sales and Distribution

Key Responsibilities

• Support global SAP SD/DTC business solution implementations across end-to-end order-to-cash processes
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements that add measurable business value
• Conduct fit-gap analysis and propose functional solutions promoting global standards integration and simplicity
• Prepare and maintain detailed functional specification documents
• Configure SAP SD modules based on approved business requirements including pricing tax credit management ATP and billing
• Analyze and debug configuration or process issues and work with technical teams to resolve them
• Monitor batch jobs interfaces and SAP system health with a focus on proactive issue resolution
• Conduct solution testing and support business users in completing UAT and obtaining approvals
• Ensure smooth deployment of solution changes into production environments with minimal disruption
• Document all work clearly and assist with user training and post-go-live support
• Coordinate testing cycles and maintain adherence to GITs Solution Manager and documentation protocols
• Assist in special projects as assigned providing regular updates and identifying potential timeline risks
• Respond to service requests efficiently and provide timely communication to end users
• Leverage and deploy Generative AI-assisted data analytics and apply logical constructs to custom programming steps to design efficient scalable business solutions with minimal reliance on development resources
• Design test and implement business solutions by integrating SAP with non-SAP systems/applications in collaboration with development teams

Area of Focus

• SAP ECC AFS SD configuration
• End-to-end Sales and DTC Order-to-Cash processes including:
  • Order entry and management
  • Product Availability Check (ATP)
  • Inventory allocation
  • Pricing and Promotions
  • Tax Determination
  • Delivery and Shipment Processing
  • eDocument cockpit or DRC modules
  • EDI order process
  • Billing Invoicing and Payment Card Processing
  • Credit Management access sequence and Outputs
• Integration with eCommerce POS and CRM systems
• Collaboration across other SAP modules: FI MM WM
• Troubleshooting and resolution of SD-specific short dumps errors and interface failures
• Output formats document types and communication (print email EDI)
• Other assigned SAP business solution areas

Qualifications

Education

• Required: Bachelors Degree in Engineering Business Applications Information Systems or related field
• Preferred: MBA or comparable postgraduate qualification

Experience

• Minimum 2 full lifecycle SAP implementation experiences
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working across multiple countries or in a global/multinational environment
• At least 5 years of experience in SAP SD configuration and OTC process design
• Strong understanding of DTC and wholesale order processes
• Strong knowledge of US and EU VAT and Sales tax setup and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in ATP credit management pricing tax billing and output determination
• Designed and architected solutions to support Order-to-Cash (OTC) including integration of SAP systems with internal and external applications
• Strong integration experience across SAP modules and non-SAP systems
• Experience with SAP AFS is preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively in a virtual team
• Detail-oriented self-motivated and results-driven
• Customer-focused mindset
