Work Schedule: Day Shift 5x8 Hours (7:00 AM 3:30 PM)
Location: Bloomington IN
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures in a multi-setting environment. The ideal candidate will work with inpatient outpatient and emergency cases ensuring accurate imaging and high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely
- Start IV lines and ensure proper patient preparation
- Operate imaging equipment and process images using PACS
- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety and regulatory standards
- Provide excellent patient care across various clinical settings
Work Environment:
- Multi-room unit supporting inpatient outpatient and ER cases
- Average 1315 patients per day
- Schedule may vary based on workload
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience
- Experience with IV starts and PACS required
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Required Procedure Experience:
- Cardiac imaging
- Bone scans
- Liver/Spleen scans
- Lung scans
- Thyroid studies
- Tumor localization
- Myocardial imaging
Preferred Procedure Experience:
- Brain scans
- Renal flow studies
- SPECT imaging
Certifications:
- BLS certification required
- ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification required
