As the Deputy Nurse Manager youll be working closely with the Home Manager while staying closely connected to the clinical side of the service. Youll be visible on the floor supporting nurses guiding care and stepping in where it matters - whether thats handling complex clinical decisions or raising overall standards across the home.

• This role requires current NMC registration (RGN or RMN) and recent nursing home experience in a senior role.
• Applicants must be confident supporting clinical governance and CQC compliance.
• This position is not suitable for newly qualified nurses or those without nursing home experience.

• Hours: Full-time including clinical shifts and supernumerary time
• Contract: Permanent
• Setting: Nursing home (dementia and general nursing care)

What Youll Need

• Registered Nurse qualification (RGN or RMN) with active NMC registration
• Experience in a senior nursing role within a nursing home setting (Clinical Lead Deputy Nurse Manager)
• Strong knowledge of dementia care and general nursing practice
• Confident understanding of CQC regulations and compliance
• Ability to lead shifts and support clinical decision-making

What Youll Do

• Support the Home Manager in daily operations and clinical oversight
• Lead nursing shifts and supervise care delivery across the home
• Monitor care plans risk assessments and medication management
• Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and internal standards
• Mentor and support nurses and care staff in clinical practice
• Contribute to audits inspections and continuous improvement
