Job Summary
Summary of Duties:
This Senior MLT candidate must be able to analyze complex technical issues in a systematic and comprehensive manner. Expected to communicate effectively - verbally and in writing. Works collaboratively with medical leadership management and peers to improve services and quality. Able to evaluate and implement technological enhancements using LEAN principles/process improvement tools and has a comprehensive understanding of a quality management system
Qualifications/Skills:
- CMLTO registration as a General Medical Laboratory Technologist required
- Minimum 3 years comprehensive experience in Histology required
- Strong analytical and organizational skills in order to trouble-shoot and optimize testing required
- Working knowledge of LEAN principles and tools for process improvement
- Able to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams as well as independently
- Demonstrates effective communication both written and oral
- Required to work in a dynamic busy environment with excellent organizational skills
- Experience with lab information systems including CoPath Vantage Synapse Pathology
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office
