Job Title: CT Technologist (Travel)
Location: Hyannis MA (02601)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift 07:00 AM 03:00 PM
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a travel assignment in Hyannis MA. In this role you will perform high-quality computerized tomography (CT) procedures while ensuring patient safety comfort and adherence to established imaging protocols. This position requires strong technical expertise attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Imaging & Technical Duties
- Perform CT scanning procedures with a high degree of accuracy and technical proficiency
- Operate CT scanners control consoles and related imaging equipment
- Select and adjust imaging protocols based on physician orders
- Review and evaluate images for diagnostic quality
Patient Care & Safety
- Prepare and properly position patients for imaging procedures
- Clearly explain procedures to patients and address concerns
- Monitor patient condition throughout exams to ensure comfort and safety
- Follow radiation safety standards to minimize exposure
- Assist physicians and clinical staff during procedures as needed
Equipment & Quality Assurance
- Set up maintain and troubleshoot CT equipment
- Ensure proper calibration and functionality of imaging systems
- Follow infection control and quality assurance protocols
Documentation & Compliance
- Accurately document procedures and maintain patient records
- Verify and process imaging orders from physicians
- Adhere to all regulatory safety and organizational policies
Additional Responsibilities
- Administer contrast media in accordance with guidelines (if applicable)
- Participate in continuing education and training
- Maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate of an accredited Radiography program
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- Active Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist license
- CT certification (ARRT CT) or equivalent
- Minimum experience requirements:
- 3 years as a Radiologic Technologist or
- 1 year of recent CT Technologist experience (within the last 5 years)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
