In this role you will be a Sales Engineer for a client that is in the commercial mechanical/HVAC services industry. This position is responsible for generating new business estimating projects and remaining involved through the lifecycle of each project. Projects range from small commercial office build-outs to large commercial facilities up to $1M. This role combines sales estimating and project oversight and is ideal for someone with strong mechanical knowledge who can sell scope and support HVAC construction and service projects.
This is a temp-to-perm opportunity. The role must be performed on-site with a mix of office work and local field visits. No remote work.
Job Responsibilities:
5 years of experience in commercial & light industrial HVAC sales
Experience estimating HVAC projects (sales with estimating experience is strongly preferred) or a combination of sales and project management
Generate new business in commercial HVAC service and construction
Sell design-build and plan & spec HVAC projects
Prepare estimates for service maintenance replacements and construction projects
Perform job walks gather field information sketch layouts and ask the right technical questions upfront
Maintain ownership of projects after sale staying involved through execution
Ensure all documentation paperwork and job details are accurate and submitted on time
Meet with customers to explain project scope pricing and execution plans
Proven experience selling commercial service agreements service work and construction projects
Ability to manage multiple projects of varying size and complexity
Willingness to be hands-on ask questions and collaborate with engineers when needed
