Job Summary

R.J. Corman is seeking a hardworking and dependable Employment Supervisor to join our People Services team in Nicholasville KY. The Employment Supervisor oversees and manages the end-to-end new hire process from receipt of initial candidate documentation through successful completion of onboarding requirements. This role performs a combination of professional and high-level administrative responsibilities applying foundational and advanced principles practices and procedures of human resources management to ensure a compliant efficient and positive hiring experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with HR Business Partners hiring managers and supervisors to process new hire documentation coordinate pre-employment testing track hiring status and place personnel appropriately within the organization.
  • Review post-offer and pre-employment documents to ensure compliance with Company policies and all applicable state and federal regulations; make hiring determinations in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Track monitor and follow up on screening results and post-offer documentation throughout the new hire process to ensure timely completion.
  • Review complete candidate packets and initiate required employee screening processes; monitor screening results daily and escalate issues as needed.
  • Receive eRail safety badges and coordinate distribution to applicable companies or departments.
  • Verify employment eligibility through the Department of Homeland Security using the USCIS E-Verify system.
  • Collaborate with the People Services team to develop implement document and continuously improve hiring procedures identifying opportunities for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Prepare analyze and maintain regular periodic and ad hoc employment reports including screening timelines time-to-hire metrics and outstanding documentation.
  • Monitor employment practices to ensure compliance with nondiscrimination requirements; participate in fact-finding efforts and assist in the development of management responses when needed.
  • Monitor changes to state federal and Company employment documentation requirements and distribute updated hiring materials to hiring managers as appropriate.
  • Assist in the development of data analysis and recommendations related to employee turnover and hiring trends.
  • Participate in and support the development and delivery of supervisory training and development programs related to hiring and compliance.
  • Maintain relationships with third-party testing and background check vendors; track review and process invoices related to third-party screening services.
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for employees supervisors and managers regarding hiring rules documentation and processe
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to hiring managers and sustain positive working relationships across the organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
