Strategic Research InternCompensation: $39130 per yearScience North runs Canadas 2nd and 8th largest science centres and we have a bases of operation in Sudbury Thunder Bay and Sault Ste. Marie. All applicants MUST meet the following internship program eligibility requirements: must be a new entrant into the workforce be transitioning to a new career or be unemployed or underemployed and entering a new fieldresides in Northern Ontariomust have not previously participated in an NOHFC funded internshipmust be 18 years of age or oldermust be legally eligible to work in CanadaOnce hired must reside in Sudbury. Not suitable for remote workPosition Highlights:Reporting to the Manager of Research & Evaluation you will:Conduct literature reviews to support actions related to Science Norths strategic planResearch and gather existing frameworks tools best practices to support evidence-based decision making in relation to the strategic planAssist in the development of research plans for key actions in the Strategic PlanAssist in the development of tools for mixed methods research on internal and external projectsCollect and analyze data into written Summary ReportsSummarize and present findings to members of strategic plan action teamsQualifications:Educational background in social sciences science or analytics is requiredGraduate level education in science communication social sciences museum studies is an assetResearch experience is an asset Fluency in English required.
