About the Job

Build your career where safety truly matters. As a Health & Safety Coordinator youll play a hands-on role in keeping our people safe across our Niagara area sites.

Reporting directly to the Health & Safety Manager youll support the implementation and ongoing improvement of our Safety Management System (SMS). Youll work closely with site teams supervisors and Joint Health & Safety Committees (JHSCs) to ensure compliance lead by example in the field and help foster a strong proactive safety culture.

This position is based out of our Niagara Falls office with regular travel to local work sites.

Salary: $65000 $75000 (based on experience and qualifications)

What Youll Be Doing

In this dynamic field-focused role youll be a key partner in driving safety excellence across our operations:

• Support day-to-day compliance with applicable legislation company policies and SMS standards
• Assist in developing site-specific Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs) and deliver training to employees
• Conduct site inspections hazard assessments and participate in incident investigations
• Maintain accurate safety records and submit reports using eCompliance (forms checklists field observations)
• Participate in JHSC meetings and provide technical support for safety initiatives
• Work alongside Supervisors and Managers to implement immediate corrective actions and practical field solutions
• Contribute to Safety Alerts and internal communications with real-world field-driven insights
• Prepare and track weekly KPI updates for the Health & Safety Manager

Heres What You Need

• 12 years of health & safety experience (construction industrial or mining experience is a strong asset)

• Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety (college diploma or university degree)

• CRSP designation (or working toward it) is considered an asset

• Valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle (required for travel between sites)

• Solid understanding of health and safety legislation and industry best practices

• Strong communication and interpersonal skillsyoure comfortable working with crews supervisors and committees

• Ability to conduct inspections and support incident investigations in active work environments

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail for accurate reporting and documentation

• Comfortable using safety software systems such as eCompliance
