Job Description

A Control System Technician / PLC Technician / Automation Technician is required to join an industry leader within mission-critical and hyperscale environments in Reno NV.

The Control System Technician / PLC Technician / Automation will have hands-on experience with PLC systems such as Studio 5000 Allen Bradley Siemens and other control systems along with expertise in system startups commissioning and troubleshooting.

Package:

$60000 - $90000 (Dependent on experience)

PLC Technician / Automation Technician / Systems Technician Responsibilities:

• Start-up check-out and commissioning of PLC-based building control systems
• Troubleshoot test and calibrate HVAC mechanical controls and PLC systems
• Make minor PLC code modifications and configure system elements (trend logs alarms graphics and zones)
• Record and update as-built drawings and control documentation related to PLC systems
• Provide training on system usage and maintenance including PLC programming basics
• Collaborate with project engineers and technical teams during PLC installations and upgrades
• Construct panels and prepare field documentation including UL tags check-out sheets and redline drawings for PLC systems
• Manage time effectively to ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget

PLC Technician / Automation Technician / Systems Technician Requirements:

• Associate degree in Applied Technology or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of PLC systems (e.g. Allen Bradley Siemens Studio 5000) DDC control theory mechanical/electrical systems and field instrumentation
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a focus on PLC systems
• Comfortable with physical demands (lifting up to 50 lbs climbing ladders working in mechanical rooms)
• Experience in HVAC building automation and PLC-based environments strongly preferred
• Valid drivers license and ability to travel locally
• Resides within 45 minutes of Reno NV
