Job Summary
What Youll Be Doing
- Develops articulates and implements lesson plans using the Creative Curriculum that reflect current
- School Readiness and Program Goals and individual child needs
- Ensures team utilizes classroom materials and routines to promote an environment conducive to age appropriate development interests and special needs of the children
- Ensures the maintenance of a safe and healthy classroom environment in accordance with Head Start
- Program Performance Standards (as applicable) Title 5 and Title 22 Regulations
- Implement best practices in terms of appropriate guidance and support to children Work
- collaboratively with the Family Advocate and Family Services Manager to facilitate intensive family engagement
- Support a continuous and interactive process between families and teachers that foster the parent partnership agreements as required by under the Head Start Program Performance Standards as applicable.
- Conduct required parent/teacher meetings as set forth by both the Early Head Start Program Performance Standards and Title 5
- Conduct the ASQ and the ASQ/SE with children assigned to cohort
- Ensure that every child has an Infant Needs and Services Plan that is updated with family on a quarterly basis
- Maintain and update written records and reports in accordance with the Head Start Program as applicable.
- Build and maintain supportive and effective professional relationships with staff parents and program volunteers
- Implement inclusive practices to accommodate children with learning differences and special needs and in collaboration with Early Intervention Specialists as applicable.
- Attend required classroom center and organization meetings
- Perform related duties as assigned
- Support the Center Director
- Act as Center Director and Point of Contact in the absence of the Center Director
- Associate Teacher Permit
- 3 units Infant/Toddler Development and Care
- 3 units administration or employee relations
- Knowledge of Early Head Start policies and procedures desired
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking reading and writing skills highly desirable
Compensation
$87141.84 - $87141.84 USD
Additional Requirements
- Must pass a health screening and TB test
- Must pass background fingerprint clearance
- Valid Driver License
- Must be 18 years or older
- The ability to lift up to 30lbs may be needed during some job duties
