Program Manager (AI PMO)

Role Summary

The Program Manager AI PMO will support and advise multiple AI delivery teams by providing strong program execution governance and operational coordination across the AI portfolio. This role partners closely with AI product engineering data and business leaders to ensure initiatives are effectively onboarded resourced funded and tracked from intake through delivery.

Based in Bangalore this role operates in a global delivery model working with stakeholders across India Europe and the United States and serves as a key connective layer between delivery teams and AI PMO leadership. The Program Manager will help bring structure transparency and predictability to AI delivery while enabling teams to focus on execution.

Key Responsibilities

Project Intake & Demand Management

• Support potential AI initiatives through the internal demand and intake process ensuring clarity of scope objectives and readiness.
• Guide requestors and sponsors through required approvals artifacts and prioritization steps.
• Maintain visibility into the intake pipeline and communicate demand status to AI PMO leadership.

Resourcing & Capacity Tracking

• Track resource allocation across AI delivery teams including engineers data scientists and supporting roles.
• Partner with delivery and functional leaders to identify capacity constraints skill gaps and resourcing risks.
• Maintain forward-looking views of capacity and demand to support planning and prioritization decisions.

Financial Management & Vendor Oversight

• Track program and project budgets across the AI portfolio.
• Review statements of work (SOWs) invoices and vendor deliverables for accuracy and alignment to scope.
• Support creation and management of purchase orders and financial approvals in accordance with internal processes.
• Provide regular financial status updates including forecast vs. actuals risks and variances.

Delivery Status Tracking & Program Coordination

• Track delivery progress across AI initiatives maintaining up-to-date status milestones and roadmaps.
• Act as a point of escalation for risks actions issues dependencies and decisions (RAIDD).
• Facilitate cross-team collaboration and dependency management across AI delivery teams.
• Prepare clear concise status updates and dashboards for leadership and stakeholders across regions.

Required Experience

• 8 years of experience in program or project management within technology or digital delivery environments.
• Experience supporting multiple concurrent initiatives in a matrixed or portfolio-based model.
• Strong working knowledge of project intake resourcing financial tracking and delivery governance.
• Demonstrated ability to track and manage budgets vendors SOWs and invoices.
• Proven experience coordinating across geographically distributed teams and time zones.
• Strong communication organization and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfort operating in fast-moving evolving environments

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within a PMO or delivery governance organization.
• Exposure to AI data analytics or advanced technology programs.
• Familiarity with SAFe delivery environments and working alongside Agile teams.
• Experience supporting global delivery teams.
• Experience using portfolio road mapping financial and delivery tracking tools (e.g. roadmap budgeting or work management platforms).
