Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Registered Nurse to work in an inpatient biobehavioral health setting. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate high-quality care to pediatric patients with behavioral health needs in an acute care environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care in an inpatient pediatric behavioral health unit
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop care plans
Monitor and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
Support patients and families with education and emotional care
Float to other pediatric units as needed
Ensure compliance with safety regulatory and hospital standards
Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state or compact eligibility)
Minimum of 1.52 years of recent acute care experience in a similar setting
Experience in behavioral health required
Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 trauma centers preferred
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Certifications:
BLS certification required
