Substitute Teacher 2026-2027 INTERIM Teacher (Recommendations Only)

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. WE REQUIRE A HIRING RECOMMENDATION FROM THE CAMPUS TO PROCEED WITH THIS APPLICATION.
2. Bachelors degree (Degreed Substitute Teacher) OR 48 college credit hoursfrom a recognized accredited college or university (Non-Degreed Substitute Teacher - not eligible for long-term assignments); (If you have a foreign transcript it must be evaluated by a TEA approved credential evaluation agency.)
3. Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
5. Experience working with children preferred.
6. Flexible and able to adjust daily routine.
7. Demonstrate a professional appearance and attitude.
8. Ability to speak read and understand the English language.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Substitutes are employed on an at-will basis and are not considered contractual employees.

FEES:

There isa fingerprinting fee(approximately $50.00) associated with this application process.

SALARY:

DEGREED

$110.00/day (daily assignments)

$145/day - $180/day (long-term assignments)

NON-DEGREED

$102.00/day (daily assignments)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Responsible for implementing the Districts instructional program and educational philosophy in the subject area or grade level designated in accordance with district policies and procedures on a day to day basis.

2. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing stooping bending pulling and pushing. Move small stacks of textbooks media equipment desks and other classroom equipment.
