Senior Network Engineer (NetScaler) NV1 Cleared Daily Rate Contract

Location: Melbourne (Hybrid)
Contract: Daily Rate (612 months)
Clearance: Active NV1 required

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer with strong Citrix NetScaler (ADC) expertise to join a high-performing team delivering secure mission-critical environments within a Federal Government or defence-aligned program.

This is a hands-on contract role suited to someone who thrives in complex security-sensitive environments and is comfortable working across infrastructure security and application delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design implement configure and optimise Citrix NetScaler / ADC environments

• Manage load balancing SSL offloading GSLB and traffic optimisation

• Support high-availability and disaster recovery configurations

• Perform upgrades patching and performance tuning

• Troubleshoot complex network and application delivery issues

• Ensure compliance with security and governance standards aligned to secure environments

• Produce high-quality technical documentation and operational handover material

• Work closely with security cloud and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration

Required Experience & Skills

• Active NV1 Security Clearance (mandatory)

• Extensive hands-on experience with Citrix NetScaler (ADC)

• Strong knowledge of:

  • Load balancing (L4/L7)

  • SSL/TLS configuration and certificate management

  • GSLB

  • Authentication policies

• Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP DNS routing firewalls)

• Experience working in highly secure or regulated environments

• Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills

• Excellent stakeholder communication skills

Desirable

• Experience within Federal Government or defence environments

• Exposure to F5 Fortinet Palo Alto or Cisco networking

• Experience integrating NetScaler with Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops

• Automation experience (PowerShell Python Ansible)
