What you will be doing in this role

Reporting to the Clinical Informatics Manager and as part of our dynamic Information Systems team this role is dedicated to bridging the gap between clinical practice and health informatic technology. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will collaborate with clinicians external vendors and our internal development teams to support and optimise clinical systems ensuring high-quality documentation to support workflow improvements across our hospital.

You will assist in designing testing and implementing system enhancements while minimising disruption to patient care. Working closely with frontline clinical staff you will identify opportunities for workflow and process improvements promote the adoption of new technologies and provide training and support to end-users. Continually you will analyse clinical data to inform improvements and drive best practice in patient care.

This is a Monday-Friday role with flexibility. We are open to applications for 0.8 1 FTE. There is an additional requirement to be on-call 1 week per month.

Who were looking for

To succeed in this role youll have an understanding of private hospital operations have used clinical support technologies and be familiar with eMR systems integration with biomedical equipment.

  • Your previous healthcare experience will have equipped you with knowledge of clinical documentation workflows and policy requirements across a range of clinical settings.
  • While you dont need to be an expert in developing technology systems youll have an understanding of software development lifecycles and vendor products.
  • Strong project management proposal writing and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Youll have clinical education or teaching experience (preferred).
  • Current or previous AHPRA registration as RN or other allied health professional (preferred).
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or a related discipline (preferred).
