Responsibilities / Tasks
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for assigned material and service categories.
- Optimize procurement costs through TCO analyses Value Engineering initiatives and cost-reduction projects.
- Analyze supplier markets and industry trends identifying risks and opportunities within the supply chain.
- Manage the supplier base including selection qualification evaluation and development based on quality cost and logistics KPIs.
- Lead commercial negotiations and conclude framework agreements and long-term contracts.
- Cooperate with global and European procurement teams and participate in consolidation initiatives.
- Work closely with Production Logistics R&D Quality and Planning departments including procurement support for NPI/NPD projects.
- Ensure continuity of supply and component availability while optimizing inventory levels.
- Manage sourcing processes including RFI RFQ and RFP as well as price benchmarking and scenario
Your Profile / Qualifications
- University degree (Logistics Economics Management Engineering or similar).
- 35 years of experience in strategic procurement (Strategic / Technical Buyer) within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes category management and cost analysis (TCO benchmarking).
- Proven negotiation skills and ability to build long-term supplier relationships.
- Good command of English (min. B2) and experience working in an international environment.
- Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strategic proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with global suppliers sustainability in procurement or professional certifications (e.g. CIPS) will be an advantage.
