Compensation:
Local Pay Rate: Up to $27/hour (based on experience)
Travel Pay Rate: Up to $31/hour (based on experience)
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support a high-acuity Emergency Department through a float pool assignment. This role requires adaptability strong clinical support skills and the ability to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care including bathing feeding toileting and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Accurately obtain monitor and document vital signs
Support nursing staff with patient care in an emergency department setting
Observe patients and promptly report any changes in condition
Serve as a safety companion for high-risk patients
Maintain a clean safe and organized patient care environment
Assist with patient transport positioning and mobility
Communicate effectively with nurses physicians and interdisciplinary teams
Follow infection control and safety protocols
Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Deliver compassionate care while preserving patient dignity and privacy
Adapt to rapidly changing patient needs in a dynamic environment
Engage in ongoing training and professional development
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
Active New York State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Minimum 1 year of patient care experience
At least 2 years of experience assisting with ADLs
Prior experience in a Level 1 trauma hospital setting (required)
Experience working as a patient safety companion (preferred)
Strong understanding of patient care practices and emergency support
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced high-pressure environment
Strong observational and critical thinking skills
Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
